The Four Meetings

MEETING ONE:

Our first band meeting (me, Millie and Teagan) included us as a group discussing who’s original song we were going to perform when we do our Live Lounge session in the college theatre on Friday the 8th of February. We work well as a group so together we easily came to an agreement that we will perform Teagan’s original song. Later on we spoke about who’s doing what so we can start to get a vision of what we want our Live Lounge video to be like, by the end of our band meeting we came to the conclusion that Teagan will play the keyboard and be the main singer as its her song and me and Millie will be backup singers adding harmonies and joining in at certain points of the song to bring it to life.

MEETING TWO:

The next meeting we had was to discuss how we were going to do rehearsals and how they were going so far, the first rehearsal we had was just trying to get through the song and know the lyrics, and we had to think about where we could fit in harmonies and other bits. In the next few rehearsals we added in backing bits and tried to see what worked and what didn’t, the first couple of rehearsals we had we didn’t get much done as we couldn’t get through the song because we kept getting distracted so we all thought we were behind but once we got through it we realised that we were on track and it was going better than we thought. In rehearsals lately we have been using mics and trying to get it done as we would in the actual live lounge.

MEETING THREE:

In our third meeting we have finished rehearsing and learning Teagans song to perform for the live lounge, because we have got the song all sorted we are now looking at discussing what we are going to wear for the performance and how we are going to perform ect. we also have to complete a storyboard for our live lounge videos of how we want the camera angles to be during the performance, me, teag and millie have been struggling with this and have changed it many times, we still havent got a final storyboard completed for this but we are working on it.

MEETING FOUR:

In this meeting we discussed the outcome of the live lounge , from the start to where we are right now. I think that at the start of the process we didn’t really know what we wanted to do and we were all a little confused as to how we wanted things to plan out, but through out the process it all stated to piece together and we started to all get a vision of what we wanted. The week leading up to the live lounge was a little unnerving as time was drawing in and we were all a little nervous to see how things would plan out, even though performance wise we were well rehearsed and prepared it was still a little off putting.
